1Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how NoSlop handles information when you use our app, website, optional Circle feature, Apps tab, protected web sessions, Safari extension, Screen Time integrations, and related services.
NoSlop is designed around a simple idea: help you reduce unnecessary AI use and understand estimated water saved without collecting more information than needed. Most blocking choices, Screen Time data, protected-session signals, and water-savings records stay on your device.
2App Store privacy disclosures
Outside the optional Circle feature, NoSlop and its third-party service providers may collect Device ID and Product Interaction data from the app. Circle data is described in the Circle section below. The App Store product page provides separate privacy disclosures for the version available through Apple.
Device ID includes device-level identifiers used for attribution and measurement, such as an AppsFlyer ID or an Apple attribution token. Device ID is used for analytics and may be used to track activity across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising measurement. NoSlop uses the AppsFlyer Strict SDK, disables Meta advertiser-ID collection, and does not request access to Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).
Product Interaction includes information such as app launches, taps, feature engagement, and subscription or attribution-related events. Product Interaction is used for Analytics and App Functionality. It is not used for tracking.
NoSlop discloses Device ID and Product Interaction as data that is not linked to your identity. We do not use these data types to identify you by name, email address, or other direct personal details.
3Information you provide
You may provide information when you contact us, request support, join a waitlist, or communicate with NoSlop. This can include your name, email address, message contents, and related context.
If you choose not to provide certain information, some support or account-related features may not be available.
4App settings and activity
NoSlop may store settings such as selected AI websites, selected protected apps, protected-session settings, blocking schedules, Screen Time authorization state, extension preferences, and water-savings ledger entries.
Where possible, this information is kept on your device or in app-group storage used by the app and extensions. Some related service data may be processed by providers that support app distribution, subscriptions, diagnostics, or customer support.
5Circle
Circle is optional. If you create a Circle profile, NoSlop stores a pseudonymous profile ID, handle, display name, avatar seed, profile timestamps, and the public encryption and signing keys needed to connect with friends. The matching private keys stay in protected storage on your device and are never sent to the Circle service. Your Circle credential is generated and stored in the device Keychain, sent over HTTPS to authenticate Circle requests, and retained by the service only as a hash. The service also keeps hashes of invitation tokens rather than storing the original tokens.
Circle processes the metadata needed to run the feature. This includes invitation creation, use, and expiration data; connection, removal, and block records; snapshot delivery details such as sender and recipient IDs, week, revision, publication time, and expiration time; fixed reaction choices; and reports with a selected reason. Circle does not accept free-text reactions or report notes. This metadata is visible to the Circle service even though snapshot contents are encrypted.
Your phone builds a weekly snapshot from local data. Based on the sharing settings you choose, the snapshot may include your weekly block count, estimated water saved, and the supported AI providers you protect. Device-usage sharing is not currently available. The app pads, encrypts, and signs a separate copy for each friend before upload. Circle is designed so the service stores and delivers the encrypted copy without receiving the private keys used to read its contents.
Circle does not upload raw ledger entries, individual blocking events, exact event times, searches, URLs or domains, Screen Time tokens, or app bundle identifiers. Those records stay on your device. The weekly totals and provider list are derived on your device and included only when the related sharing option is on.
Circle keeps the latest snapshot revision for each friend and week. Encrypted snapshots are set to expire no more than eight days after publication. After expiration, the service stops returning the snapshot and its related reactions. Scheduled service cleanup removes expired ciphertext, reactions, and invitations, so physical deletion may occur shortly after the expiration time. A hashed revision record may remain until profile deletion so an old upload cannot restore an expired or revoked snapshot.
You can change what you share, create or replace a one-time invitation, remove or block a friend, report a profile using a fixed reason, or delete your Circle profile. Removing or blocking a friend stops access through Circle, but an encrypted envelope may remain until its expiration time. These controls cannot erase a screenshot or copy that a friend saved outside NoSlop.
Deleting your Circle profile through the in-app control sends an account-deletion request to the Circle service. After the service confirms deletion, it removes the active profile, credential hash, invitations, connection records, encrypted snapshots, reactions, reports, and revision records tied to that account from active service data. Deleting the NoSlop app by itself does not send this request.
6Water-savings data
NoSlop uses events such as avoided AI queries, hidden AI Overviews, selected lean-AI actions, or blocked attempts to estimate water saved.
Those estimates are based on assumptions and averages. They help show direction and impact, not exact environmental measurement.
7Screen Time permissions
If you enable Screen Time features, Apple-controlled permission flows may let NoSlop apply restrictions to selected apps, categories, or web domains.
Screen Time tokens are handled through Apple frameworks. NoSlop does not need to know the full contents of your private browsing or every app interaction to provide basic blocking behavior.
8Safari extension behavior
If you enable the Safari extension, it may inspect supported search result pages to identify and hide AI Overview surfaces and record that a supported AI surface was hidden.
The extension is intended to operate only for the permissions and sites shown to you in Safari settings.
9Apps tab and protected web sessions
When you use the Apps tab, NoSlop may load supported third-party websites or app web experiences in an in-app browser so the app can apply protected browsing rules.
If a protected session asks you to log in, you log in directly with that third-party service. NoSlop does not ask for, receive, or store your password, and it does not control the third-party service's account, content, or privacy practices.
To provide blocking, NoSlop may process page URLs, navigation events, redirect attempts, blocked AI-surface matches, and similar local signals inside the protected session. Those signals are used to keep supported AI surfaces, native-app handoffs, and related redirects inside or out of the protected experience as configured.
10Payments
Purchases, trials, and subscriptions may be processed by Apple, RevenueCat, or another payment provider. They may provide NoSlop with subscription status, product identifiers, renewal state, and transaction metadata needed to unlock paid features.
NoSlop does not receive your full payment card number from those providers.
11Analytics, attribution, and app functionality
NoSlop uses Device ID and Product Interaction data to understand installs, app opens, feature usage, attribution, service reliability, and purchase or subscription events; operate app features; and measure whether the app and its campaigns are working as expected.
We may use Apple, AppsFlyer, Meta, RevenueCat, hosting providers, and support providers for attribution, subscription management, analytics, app functionality, and operations. These providers process data under their own privacy policies and service terms.
Purchase-related events may include a product identifier, price, currency, subscription status, and an anonymous service identifier when needed for attribution or entitlement functionality. NoSlop does not request IDFA access and does not receive your full payment card number.
12Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate NoSlop, including hosting, analytics, attribution, subscription management, customer support, security, and payment-related providers. We may also share information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, complete a business transfer, or act with your direction or consent.
When you use Circle, you direct NoSlop to show your pseudonymous profile and deliver your recipient-encrypted weekly snapshot to the friends you choose.
When you choose to open or log in to a third-party service through a protected session, information you provide to that service is handled by that service under its own terms and privacy policy.
13Retention and control
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy assistance. Some app data may be controlled directly through your device settings, app deletion, or Apple account controls.
You can manage a Circle profile from Circle settings. Use the Delete Circle Profile control before deleting the app if you want to send a deletion request from the app.
Deleting NoSlop does not delete third-party accounts you used in protected sessions. To manage those accounts or their data, use the controls provided by the third-party service.
14Children
NoSlop is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to NoSlop, contact us so we can review and take appropriate steps.
15Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.
